From highly detailed cars to minimal neon triangles, we’ve got you covered with our hand-picked list of racers
Mobile racing games are one of the most popular among mobile games. This is a very competitive field, and there are some really good options. The racing game was the first to take advantage of mobile devices, using the accelerometer as a steering wheel to control the car. There are other control methods, but turning the dial is a classic racing component. This is also one of the most diverse genres with a great selection of free play and premium versions. This is the best racing game for Android.
We also want to pay tribute to Riptide GP: Renegade (Google Play) and its predecessors. Instead of a car, you race on a hovercraft, even if it’s old, it’s one of the best racing games with solid mechanics. You can also emulate some old classics that you can no longer buy.
Asphalt 9: Legends and Asphalt Xtreme

Asphalt 9: Legends is the latest racing game from Gameloft and the last game in the popular Asphalt franchise. It has great graphics, solid mechanics and tons of content to play. It includes over 800 events, weekly and monthly events, and online PvP action. There are also up to 50 cars to unlock, various upgrades and more. Freemium strategies are usually a bit more aggressive than we like.
It’s also a great arcade racing title with the best graphics of any racing game. Asphalt 8: Weather is still actively updated if you want to go further with the old control scheme.
Assoluto Racing
Price: Free to play
Assoluto Racing is a highly packed and free to play racing game in the competitive segment. It mainly focuses on racing and drifting. The game also has excellent graphics, simple manual controls and many events to play. Unlike the most popular game in the segment, Asphalt 9, we like that this one has a gas pedal.
Some other game features include online multiplayer along with the ability to buy, customize and customize cars. You can change everything from weight to gear ratio, making it more immersive than other mobile racing games. Not great at the bottom end, but otherwise, it’s surprisingly good.
Beach Buggy Racing 2

Beach Buggy Racing 2 is very similar to games like Mario Kart. A kart racer with various special abilities to attract you more. Players race on different tracks in different locations, each with its own obstacles. The game features 45 power-ups, over 40 cards to collect, online PvP, multiple settings, and several different game modes. We wish there were third-party features like offline play and achievements in Google Play games. After all, this is a game from Vector Unit, the same developer behind the Riptide GP series. The Riptide series has such a feature. Otherwise, it’s a good game.
CSR Racing 2

The CSR Racing series is one of the most popular racing games out there. CSR Racing 2 is a drag racing game. You buy cars, add upgrades and race. It has a multi-race campaign mode. You can also compete against people online if you want. There are many cars to collect and the graphics are very good. A great time killer in the sports genre. CSR Racing 2 is a free game. It’s not that bad, but it’s something to keep in mind.
Grand Prix Story
Price: $4.99
Grand Prix Story is a racing sim from Kairosoft. Very good developer for fun, simple simulation game with decent mechanics. You will be the leader of your team. This puts you in charge of training drivers, getting sponsors and winning as many races as possible. This is a great approach for those who like a challenge, but prefer a more practical approach. Those looking for an authentic experience may be disappointed. Still, it’s not a bad game. It is also a paid game without in-app purchases.
GRID Autosport
Price: Free / $9.99
GRID Autosport is a port of the PC version. It is also one of the best games launched in 2019. The game consists of 100 cars with a total of 100 races. The game focuses on the single player experience and you not only get customizable challenges, but also different racing styles and little features like device control support. This is one of the easiest tips on the list because it feels so complete.
The price is a bit high, but for the same price you get the full PC game with all the DLC, so it’s hard to complain too much. It’s one of those good things, trust us. The demo version is also available here on the Play Store. If you want to go that route, you can purchase the DLC from the demo version to unlock the full version.
Horizon Chase

Horizon Chase is one of the best racing games of 2015. It has retro-inspired graphics. There is also a lot to do. It has dozens of tracks, different cars to unlock and more. The developers are still adding new events, and we couldn’t be happier. Yes, you can also play this racing game offline.
KartRider Rush+
Price: Free to play
KartRider Rush+ is a retro style kart. The game has several game modes including speed mode, background mode, ranked mode and story mode. There’s even a time trial, so you can beat your time on each track. In addition, there are several features to make your racer the way you want it to be. There are also power-ups to help mid-race. The mechanics are quite interesting if not realistic. Game updates are coming at a fast pace and some characters are locked behind payment. We’re not fans of that part, but the rest of the game is great.
Real Drift Car Racing
Price: Free / $0.99 / With in-app purchases
Real Drift Car Racing is a game that mainly focuses on drifting. You will race through the corner trying to outrun your opponent. It comes with different challenges depending on your skill level. There are also standard features, cars to unlock, campaign mode, different tracks and customization options. Unlike most, it has a free and paid version. The paid version still has in-app purchases, but it’s ad-free and unlocks some extra content. Not bad at all.
Top Speed 2
Price: Free to play
Top Speed 2 is the successor to Top Speed, a racing game that has more than ten million downloads. The second adventure game is actually quite good. The game features over 70 unlockable cars, amazing customization modes, diverse game modes and multiplayer, leaderboards, multiple settings and more. The graphics are also very good with small details for car fans. The mechanics and gameplay aren’t too difficult, but since the game is free-to-play, it gets harder to beat over time. The developer, T-Bull, has a large number of racing games and they are all very good.
